Emporia, Kan. —- Catawba College graduate student Victor Smith earned a spot in the 100-meter dash final to highlight Catawba's opening day at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in Emporia, Kan. on Thursday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Men's 1,500-Meter Run
- Seth Caudill earned a 15th-place finish in the men's 1500m run, finishing just outside of All-America recognition in the event
100-Meter Dash Preliminaries
- Smith finished first in his heat with a mark of 10.41 seconds to punch his ticket to the 100m finals on Saturday
- Clinches Smith's second First Team All-America event of the season
10,000-Meter Run
- Madi Clay placed 15th in the women's 10K with a mark of 35:55.94
