Greenwood, Ind. — Catawba College senior pitcher
Casey Gouge was named a Division II Academic All-American, announced by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday afternoon.
Gouge adds Academic All-America honors in his senior season along with South Atlantic Conference Pitcher of the Year honors, a First Team All-SAC selection and D2CCA Southeast Region Pitcher of the Year recognition.
The Salisbury native stepped up in his final season in his hometown, recording a 9-2 mark across 90.1 innings with a 4.08 earned-run average and 87 strikeouts to 41 walks.
In the classroom, Gouge recorded a 3.93 cumulative GPA in Sports Management. The left-hander earned SAC Elite 23 honors at the 2025 SAC Baseball Championship series as the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA among qualifiers at the final championship site.
In his four-year career, Gouge helped Catawba to three SAC regular season titles, the 2025 SAC Tournament title, three NCAA Regional bids while earning hosting duties and two Southeast Region titles.
