DAHLONEGA, Ga. — Paul Esnault led the Catawba College men's golf team at the Lake Lanier Collegiate Classic, finishing tied for eighth individually as the Catawba Indians wrapped up play Tuesday at Achasta Golf Club.

Esnault stormed back in the final two rounds to a 6-under-par 204 to close the tournament, opening with a 1-under 71 before posting a 3-under 67 in the second round and a 4-under 66 in the final round. His 66 was Catawba's lowest individual round of the tournament.

The senior from Caen, France, continues to add to one of the most accomplished careers in Catawba men's golf history. Esnault enters the 2026-27 season having now tied the program record for a 54-hole course with his 204, the record dates back to the 1996-97 season. 

Alex Barker finished tied for 34th at 212, carding rounds of 74, 70 and 68. Lenny Saville placed 84th with a 229, shooting 78, 80 and 71 featuring his first collegiate eagle in the third round. 

Connor Carter finished 87th with a 231 after rounds of 76, 82 and 73, while Pranay Kapur also finished with a 228 after rounds of 74, 77 and 77.
