SALISBURY, N.C. – Women's soccer freshman forward Alex Eguren and men's golf sophomore Maxence Bonnet earn September 30th Catawba Athletics Budd Group Athlete of the Week honors.

Eguren recorded her first career hat trick in just 40 minutes of action during a 5-1 victory at Tusculum on Sunday. The freshman broke a scoreless tie in the 33rd minute as she headed a crosser past the Pioneers' keeper. The forward added late insurance to the blue and white's lead by blasting another score in from 25 yards out before netting the final Catawba goal less than three minutes later to seal the road win.

Bonnet paced the Catawba Indians to third place out of 18 teams at the Sunnehanna Collegiate on Monday and Tuesday. The sophomore shot a three-round score of 212 (+2), finishing in the top 10. He tied his career round-best score of 69 on the second 18, highlighted by scoring an eagle on hole 11.
