Taylor returns to Catawba as Director of Athletic Facilities and Game Day Operations

Salisbury, N.C. —- Catawba graduate Monica Taylor is returning to the Catawba Athletics community as Director of Athletic Facilities and Game Operations, Director of Athletics Michelle Caddigan announced Friday morning.

Taylor returns to Catawba following a year as the Director of Softball Operations at the University of Pittsburgh. There, she organized all of the Panthers' travel needs, coordinated the program's budget including handling all credit card transactions and managed equipment orders. Previously, Taylor was an Assistant Softball Coach at Harvard and NC State.

"It's exciting to welcome Monica back home to serve in this role," Caddigan said. "In her short time on campus, she has already developed key relationships, evaluated her area and has begun implementing processes to improve our functionality and game day experience. We are so happy to have her on our team and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our department."

A 2018 Catawba graduate and alum of the softball program, Taylor will assist in the oversight of the maintenance, operation and improvement of the College's athletic facilities. In addition, Taylor will assist in delivering seamless and memorable experiences for Catawba fans, supporters and alumni.

"I'm ecstatic to be back at Catawba serving my alma mater," Taylor said. "I have always been passionate and have exuded an immense amount of pride having graduated from here. I want to thank Athletic Director Michelle Caddigan for giving me the opportunity to come back to Catawba to help make a difference within the athletic department."

Catawba's first regular season home event of the fall takes place at Frock Field, as Catawba Men's Soccer opens their 2024 campaign with a matchup vs. Montevallo on Sept. 5.
