SALISBURY, N.C. — The Catawba College men's golf team was deemed the No. 9 team in the country per the initial SCOREBOARD by Clippd Division II ranking released on Tuesday afternoon.

The top-10 standing is Catawba's highest in the SCOREBOARD by Clippd ranking since its inception in fall 2023. The program smashed its previous high of No. 29 recorded in February.

Two golfers appeared in the Top 100 individually as Ilia Antoniadis leads the squad at 78th nationally with Paul Esnault not far behind in 91st. Connor Carter (145th) and Alec Barker (157th) are neck and neck inside the Top 200.

The Catawba Indians are No. 2 in the Southeast Region standings, only trailing South Atlantic Conference rival Wingate who ranks fifth nationally.

Catawba hits the links again next week (Oct. 20-21) at the Fripp Island to Bermuda Invite.
