Greene County, Tenn. — The Catawba College men's and women's cross country teams begin their postseason competition on Saturday at the South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships hosted by Tusculum University on Saturday morning.

CLAY GOES 4 HISTORY
- Catawba senior
Madi Clay will look to become the first runner in SAC history to win the individual SAC title four times with a win on Saturday
- The three-time reigning SAC Runner of the Year already became the first in conference history, men's or women's, to earn the honor in three consecutive seasons

SCOUTING THE FIELD
- The men's field features each of the top three teams in the USTFCCCA Southeast regional rankings in Wingate, Anderson and Catawba, respectively
- Mars Hill, Lincoln Memorial and Tusculum also earned top-10 regional ranking consideration, marking six of the top 10 teams in the region appearing at the SAC Championships
- The women rank second in the region heading into the league meet, with Wingate entering the weekend as the top-ranked team with Anderson, Lincoln Memorial and Lenoir-Rhyne rounding out the top six
- Both Catawba teams topped Wingate in their lone matchup of the season at the Bulldog Stampede on Sept. 20
