Greene County, Tenn. — The 29th-ranked Catawba College men's cross country team earned a top-three finish at the South Atlantic Conference Championships for the fifth consecutive year on Saturday when the Catawba Indians finished third as a team.
Individually, seniors
Will Lyons and
James Shue were the top finishers for Catawba, earning ninth- and 10th-place finishes, respectively, with 26:53.13 and 26:56.48 marks in the 8K race.
Ian Pierce and
Seth Caudill also turned in top-15 performances for the Catawba Indians. Lyons, Shue, Pierce and Caudill earned Second Team All-Conference honors for their placings.
Seth Begley added All-Freshman Team consideration following his top-25 finish.
Wingate went on to take the team and individual title while Anderson finished one point behind for second place.
