SALISBURY, N.C. — The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) tabbed Catawba College's Máté Kenyeres to the All-Region Second Team per the organization's Tuesday afternoon release.
Kenyeres concluded his senior season with eight goals and 16 points, leading the South Atlantic Conference in both categories to earn Offensive Player of the Year laurels. The Hungarian forward was efficient in both conference and non-conference contests, recording three braces including back-to-back against regional foes Francis Marion and Mount Olive.
Kenyeres is the 28th Catawba Indian to earn a spot on the All-Region First or Second Team and is the program's 37th honoree overall. This is the third consecutive season that Catawba has been represented in the D2CCA All-Region release.
