LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Owen Conway of the Catawba College men's lacrosse team was selected to the USILA Division II Team of the Week following his performance last Saturday against Limestone.
The native of Bel Air, Md. stacked up five caused turnovers with five ground ball pickups in the fierce battle with second-ranked Limestone on Saturday at Shuford Stadium. Conway played a major role in holding the Saints to their third-lowest scoring output in 14 games and fewest in South Atlantic Conference play this season.
Through 13 games in his rookie campaign, Conway leads the Catawba Indian defense with 21 caused turnovers and 36 ground balls. His takeaways mark ties the program's 13th-best all-time.
Conway and Catawba head to the Commonwealth to face Virginia State tomorrow (Apr. 18) at 5 p.m.
