Greenwood, Ind. —- The Catawba College men's and women's swimming teams posted a maximum eight student-athletes to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Direct teams, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

On the men's side, Alejandro Alvarez, Ryan Case, Isaac Haut and Maks Minichowski were named selections, while Fiona Byrne, Ella Gutenwik, Gabriella Moll and Marit Reckmann earned the honor on the women's side.

Both Catawba men's and women's teams are coming off of their highest finishes at the NCAA Division II National Championships with the women placing 14th as a team and the men finishing 16th.

Additionally, Catawba's women earned the highest team GPA of any Division II program in the country, as well as the highest GPA across all divisions. The men were also named a CSCCA Scholar All-America honors.
