SALISBURY, N.C. – The Catawba College men's volleyball team saw two representatives earn all-conference honors as Trevor Phillips and Eli Zdonek were tabbed to the All-Intercollegiate Volleyball Association First Team per Thursday announcement. Zdonek was previously donned the IVA Newcomer of the Year in the league's major awards release in April.

Phillips, the program's inaugural Team MVP, supplied a team-high 363 kills – the second-most among IVA players – while hitting .269 with 32 service aces. The Davidson, N.C. product recorded double-figure strikes in 21 of the 25 matches, highlighted by a 27-kill outburst against league foe Tusculum (Apr. 11). On the defensive end, Phillips tallied 138 digs and 30 blocks for a per-set contribution of 4.6 points.

Along with Phillips, Zdonek gave Catawba a potent one-two punch on the outside as he stacked 306 kills with a hitting percentage of .266 and 20 aces. The grad student was just as effective defensively, ranking second on the team with 142 digs and third on the team at 50 blocks. Zdonek closed the campaign with 10 double-digit-kill performances in the last 11 contests, finishing the year with 22 darts in the IVA Tournament against Rockhurst (Apr. 18).
