SALISBURY, N.C. – The Catawba College men's golf program officially released the four-tournament fall schedule of its 2025-26 campaign on Wednesday morning.
The Catawba Indians open their season on Sept. 15-16 at The Griffin Invitational, hosted by Saint Leo at the Country Club of Petersburg. Also known as "The Hankley Course", the 7,073-yard venue was the home course of Griffin Clark, a 21-year-old golfer at Saint Leo who tragically passed away in a car accident in 2016. The tournament is named in his honor.
The blue and white will return home to friendly fairways on Oct. 6-7 for the Richard Rendleman Invitational at the par-71 Country Club of Salisbury. Catawba has claimed the Rendleman crown in each of the past three seasons and seven times overall, doing so in 2024 against a 14-team field.
On Oct. 20-21, Catawba ventures out to the South Carolina coast for the Fripp Island to Bermuda Invite hosted by Golfweek. Played at the picturesque Ocean Point Golf Course, the event features five programs slotted in the top 10 of Clippd's final 2024-25 rankings. Additionally, the individual winner will receive an exemption into the PGA Tour's Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
The fall slate wraps up the following weekend (Oct. 27-28) in Snow Hill, N.C., at the Barton Fall Invitational. Encompassing 7,327 yards from the championship tees, Cutter Creek Golf Club was the event's site in 2023 when Catawba registered a fifth-place finish. The host Bulldogs were Conference Carolinas champions and landed 14th in the NCAA South/Southeast Regional a year ago.
Catawba boasts six returners as well as three newcomers (two freshmen, one transfer) who are set to make their debuts in the blue and white. Last season, the 53rd-ranked Catawba Indians logged four podium finishes while individuals racked up 13 top-10 placements including a pair of medalist performances from NCAA Regional qualifier Paul Esnault.
