Salisbury, N.C. — Catawba College seniors Will Lyons and James Shue crossed two-hundredths of a second apart to lead the pack at the Fleet Feet Invite at Salisbury Community Park on Saturday, as the Catawba Indians cruised to the team title.
Lyons, a senior from Denton, N.C., turned in an 8K time of 26:39.93, just ahead of Shue's 26:39.95. Ian Pierce also recorded a sub-27 minute time, finishing in fourth with a time of 26:51.94.
Seth Caudill, Carson Wells and Seth Begley made it six Catawba Indians to place in the top ten with sixth, seventh and ninth-place placings, respectively.
