Wingate, N.C. — The Catawba College women's basketball team returns to action for the first time in 2026 on Wednesday morning, hitting the road in South Atlantic Conference play to take on Wingate at 11:30 a.m. from Cuddy Arena.

Mary Spry enters 2026 as the South Atlantic Conference leader in field goal percentage, ranking top 25 in the country, with nearly 56 percent shooting from the field
- The Faith, N.C. native ranks fourth in the league in points per contest with five games with 20 or more points already this season after one such game in her previous three seasons
