Evansville, Ind. — The Catawba College women's swimming team continued an impressive week of the NCAA Division II National Championships, tallying four more All-America performances on Day Three in Evansville on Thursday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
PRELIMS
100-Yard Butterfly
- Sydney Peterson and Eniko Onofer punched their tickets to the finals in the Women's 100 Butterfly with prelim placings of 12th and 15th, respectively
200-Yard Freestyle
- Danielle Meinema booked a spot in the Championship B final in the Women's 200 Free with a mark of 1:50.12
- Fernanda Regina Pera Dos Santos finished just outside of qualifying for the a final with a time of 1:50.76, good for 18th
FINALS
100-Yard Butterfly
- Onofer and Peterson finished back-to-back in the 100 Fly finals with 12th and 13th-place finishes, respectively, with marks of 54.88 and 55.06
200-Yard Freestyle
- Meinema placed 15th in the Women's 200 Free, claiming Second Team All-America honors with a time of 1:50.60
400-Yard Medley Relay
- Catawba's 400 Medley Relay team of Onofer, Gabi Moll, Sydney Peterson and Marit Reckmann placed 10th with a mark of 3:42.69
