Evansville, Ind. — The Catawba College women's swimming team added four more All-American performances to the week's tally on Day Four of the NCAA Division II National Championships in Evansville on Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
PRELIMS
500-Yard Freestyle
- Danielle Meinema punched her ticket to the Championship A final in the Women's 500 Free with a 4:54.42 swim in the prelims, good for seventh in the morning session
- Fiona Byrne raced to a 4:58.62 mark, good for 14th and a Championship B final spot
100-Yard Backstroke
- Eniko Onofer just missed out on a final in the 100 Back with a time of 55.97 seconds
100-Yard Breaststroke
- Mahee Gory-Lauret earned her first Championship A final berth of her career in the Women's 100 Breast with a mark a second and a half better than her seed time
- Gabi Moll placed 32nd in the prelim field with a mark of 1:04.26
FINALS
500-Yard Freestyle
- Meinema placed eighth in the 500 Free finals and Byrne was 16th to add two more All-Americans to the Catawba Indians' tally on the week
100-Yard Breaststroke
- Gory-Lauret maintained her seventh spot in the 100 Breast finals with a mark of 1:01.97
200-Yard Freestyle Relay
- Catawba's Women's 200 Free Relay team of Onofer, Marit Reckmann, Sydney Peterson and Eszter Pajor placed eighth in the 200 Free Relay, adding another First Team All-America swim

- Catawba takes on the final day of the National Championships on Saturday with the 1650 Free, 100 Free, 200 Back, 200 Breast and 400 Free Relay left to go
