Charlotte, N.C. — The 11th-ranked Catawba College men's swimming team saw sophomore Nazar Herashchenko take home the 500 Free title by nearly three seconds at the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invite in Charlotte on Friday.

PRELIMS
500-Yard Freestyle
- Herashchenko cruised to a first-place finish in the 500 Free in the morning prelims with a mark of 4:22.76
- Jurek Larys and Lincoln Council added top-20 placings in the 500 Free prelims with 18th and 20th-place finishes, respectively
50-Yard Freestyle
- Matt Howard logged a 12th-place finish in the 50 Free prelims
200-Yard Individual Medley
- Greg Kisshauer, Cameron Watson and Jules Remy finished in a row in the 200 IM prelims
FINALS
200-Yard Freestyle Relay
- Catawba's 200 Free relay team of Maks Minichowski, Howard, Ryan Case and Ivo Cruz earned a fourth-place finish in the 200 Free relay with a time of 1:19.65
500-Yard Freestyle
- Herashchenko followed up his great morning swim with a win in the 500 Free in the evening finals, besting the field by over three seconds to the tune of a 4:22.76 effort
- Council closed out a top-20 finish with a mark of 4:34.08
200-Yard Individual Medley
- Kisshauer and Remy placed 12th and 17th, respectively in the 200 IM finals
50-Yard Freestyle
- Howard climbed to a top-10 finish in the 50 Free finals with an improvement of nearly three-tenths of a second from his morning prelim with a mark of 19.86
400-Yard Medley Relay
- Catawba's George Fykatas, Minichowski, Lassi Niemi and Howard placed another fourth-place finish for Catawba's relay teams, this time in the 400 Medley relay with a time of 3:12.77
