Charlotte, N.C. — Catawba College sophomore Nazar Herashchenko set a meet record on Sunday in the final day of action at the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invitational hosted by Queens University of Charlotte.
HOW IT HAPPENED
1650-Yard Freestyle
- Herashchenko earned an event win in the men's 1650 Free, earning a meet record 15:19.76, over 10 seconds clear of the rest of the field
100-Yard Freestyle
- Matt Howard earned a spot in the championship final and placed eighth in the men's 100 Free with a mark of 44.22, good for an NCAA B-cut
200-Yard Breaststroke
- Jules Remy broke two minutes in the 200 Breaststroke, earning sixth place in the championship final with a mark of 1:59.97
400-Yard Freestyle Relay
- Catawba's 400 Free relay team of Maks Minichowski, Howard, Ryan Case and Lassi Niemi earned a top-five finish with a 2:56.53 mark, good for a B-cut time
