SALISBURY, N.C. – The Catawba College women's golf program has finalized its fall schedule for the 2025-26 campaign, head men's and women's golf coach Chris Saltmarsh announced Wednesday. The Catawba Indians are set to participate in four tournaments around the Southeast across September and October.
Catawba tees off its season on Sept. 22-23 with the Eckerd College Invitational held in Gulfport, Fla., at Pasadena Yacht & Country Club. Hosted by the 34th-ranked Tritons, the event takes place at the 101-year-old PYCC course that has welcomed both the PGA and LPGA Tours for the St. Petersburg Open.
Following a three-week hiatus, the blue and white take part in the LeeAnn Noble Memorial hosted by North Georgia on Oct. 13-14. Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Ga., is a Jack Nicklaus signature course that features water holes thanks to the Chestatee River, plus scenic views of the Georgia foothills on the cusp of foliage season.
The Catawba Indians are back in action closer to home on Oct. 20-21 at the UNCG Collegiate, going up against a largely-Division I field at Forest Oaks Country Club. Located roughly an hour north of Salisbury, the course opened in 1962 and held the Wyndham Championship on the PGA Tour from 1977-2017.
The program's fall campaign winds down on Oct. 27-28 with the Currahee Elite Invitational hosted by Anderson and Erskine in Toccoa, Ga. The mountainous Currahee Club, situated south of Lake Hartwell that operates as the South Carolina-Georgia line, boasts a slope rating of 151. Last year's field included nine teams with end-of-year Clippd rankings in the top 25.
Catawba returns six student-athletes from its 2024-25 squad – including the entire South Atlantic Conference Championship lineup – that concluded the season with a pair of top-three finishes and a No. 68 national ranking.
