Winson-Salem, N.C. — Catawba College senior Natalie Almond broke five minutes in the indoor mile to highlight Women's Track and Field's return to the track in 2026 at the Mondo College Invite at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Long Jump
- Efemena Egberi turned in a fourth-place finish in the women's long jump, reaching 5.60 meters
3K Run
- Madi Clay posted a runner-up finish in the Women's 3K run, clocking a mark of 9:55.53
800-Meter Run
- Eden Barnwell placed second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:17.15
200-Meter Dash
- Freshman Brooke Rediger added a sixth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a 25.50-second pace
One-Mile Run
- Almond broke five minutes to take home first in the 1-mile run, crossing the line in 4:59.04
- Caudill made it a 1-2 Catawba finish with the runner-up finish in the mile with a mark of 5:03.40
- Morgan Pollard and Emer Mcglynn followed up with top-10 finishes at fourth and eighth, respectively
