Rock Hill, S.C. — Catawba College senior swimmer Marit Reckmann was named WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
The senior from Germany helped Catawba handle Carson-Newman in a matchup of two nationally ranked SAC teams. Reckmann earned victories in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay, all of which were the fastest times of the week in the SAC in their respective events.
 
Reckmann was part of a 200 Medley Relay team that turned in the fastest time in the country last week.
 
Reckmann and the 10th-ranked Catawba Swimming teams return to action Feb. 4-7, at the SAC Championships in Kingsport, Tenn.
