Richmond, Va. — The Catawba College Women's Swimming team earned the top grade-point average in the country for the seventh consecutive semester, the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America announced Tuesday afternoon.
Catawba's women scored the top GPA of any swimming program in the country – regardless of division or gender – with a 3.89 team GPA across 21 members.
The successful semester extends the Catawba Indians' streak of top-ranking GPAs among Division II women's swim programs, dating back to the fall 2022 semester.
The Catawba men were also named a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, sporting a 3.60 GPA, good for fourth among Division II men's programs.
Both Catawba teams return to the pool from Feb. 4-7 at the Kingsport Aquatic Center in Tennessee for the South Atlantic Conference Championships.
