Evansville, Ind. — The Catawba College men's swimming team produced three more All-America finishes in each of their entries going into Day Three at the NCAA Division II Swimming National Championships in Evansville on Thursday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
PRELIMS
400-Yard Individual Medley
- Jules Remy earned a spot in the championship final, placing eighth in the 400 IM prelims with a mark of 3:49.27
200-Yard Freestyle
- Maks Minichowski took over 2.5 seconds off of his seed time to jump to third among prelim times with a mark of 1:34.53
FINALS
400-Yard Individual Medley
- Remy jumped up a spot to seventh in the 400 IM final with a time of 3:48.76, his second All-America swim in the IM on the week
200-Yard Freestyle
- Minichowski matched his personal record for national finish with a fourth-place finish in the 200 Free final, earning First Team All-America honors with the same finish in this event in last year's National Championships
400-Yard Medley Relay
- Catawba's 400 Medley relay team of George Fykatas, Minichowski, Cameron Watson and Remy matched their female counterparts with a 10th-place finish, good for Second Team All-America honors
