Charlotte, N.C. — The Catawba College track and field team concluded its first outdoor event of the season on Saturday, competing in Day Two of the Charlotte 49er Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Women's 800-Meter Run

- Eden Barnwell and Mandi Pollard finished side-by-side in the Women's 800m run, placing third and fourth 

- Natalie Almond also earned a top-eight finish with a mark of 2:16.50

Women's 3,000-Meter Run

- Hannah Caudill took home the individual title in the Women's 3K with the only sub- 10-minute time in the field with a 9:56.93

Men's Triple Jump

- Jayden Bennermon was the runner-up in the men's triple jump, reaching 14.94 meters
