Raleigh, N.C. —- The Catawba College men's track and field team competed between the Davidson and Raleigh Relays this past weekend.
HOW IT HAPPENED
DAVIDSON RELAYS
800-Meter Run
- Seth Roy earned an eighth-place finish in the 800 with a time of 1:56.45
One-Mile Run
- Seth Roy and Don Leimkuhler placed in the top 10 in the mile with marks of 4:26.43 and 4:28.25
Hammer Throw
- Jacob Scannell set the school record in the men's hammer throw with a heave of 36.01 meters
High Jump
- Jayden Bennermon was the runner-up in the Men's High Jump, clearing two meters
Long Jump
- Chris Brown was the top Catawba finisher in the men's long jump, reaching 6.87 meters
Triple Jump
- Chris Brown and Chase Brown earned third- and sixth-place finishes, respectively, in the men's triple jump
RALEIGH RELAYS
100-Meter Run
- Miles Stephens placed sixth in the Men's 100-meter dash, setting an NCAA mark in the process with a time of 10.36 seconds
400-Meter Dash
- Kengel Christohper placed second among Division II runners in the 400m dash with a mark of 47.70 seconds
4x100-Meter Relay
- Catawba's 4x100 relay team placed seventh, ahead of the likes of App State and High Point
