Rock Hill, S.C. — Catawba College's Jayden Bennermon was named the WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday morning.

Bennermon finished as the runner-up and the top collegiate finisher in the Men's Triple Jump at the Southside Power & Fitness Invite this past weekend, hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne.

Bennermon's 15.40 meters was an NCAA qualifier and the 6th-largest mark in the country in Division II this season.

Catawba returns to action this weekend between the Wake Forest Invite and the Aggie Invitational, hosted by North Carolina A&T.
