Rock Hill, S.C. — Catawba College junior Bree Ehmer was named the WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
Ehmer recorded her first career hat trick on Wednesday in a 5-0 win over North Greenville en route to a four-goal and nine-point week in which the 4th-ranked Catawba Indians out-scored their opponents 10-0 for their sixth and seventh straight victories.
The Melbourne, Fla. native overtook the SAC lead for goals scored this season with 13, ranking third nationally. Ehmer and the Catawba Indians lead the league in nearly every offensive category while remaining one of the most efficient in the nation.
Ehmer and the Catawba Indians look to clinch at least a share of the SAC regular season championship on Saturday, when it hosts Newberry at Frock Field on Saturday at 5 p.m.
